about

Taken from the Today's Future Sound (TFS) workshops held over two one-week periods in August at the Vergy P. Middleton Community Center in Jackson, Mississippi, this was made possible by Councilman Melvin Priester, Jr. of Ward 2. The workshops were led by director/founder Dr. Elliot Gann and TFS instructors Moses Rhone, Jr., Adam McGrath (aka Humunkulus), Phillipdrummond, Matthew Moore (Bayroo Burner), and Jason Lee (aka Autumn Turn), Hank Marshall (aka pOETiqbEETz) as well as local instructors Nick Couch (aka 360) and Ray Cager. Students made original instrumental compositions with both sampling and synthesis techniques for this beat tape/instrumental album and learned on programs such asLogic, Ableton, FL Studio aka Fruityloops, Keith McMillen QuNeo, Akai MPK-25, Akai LPK-25 and other industry standard equipment.
